PALFINGER presents new work platform models in the Light NX class
PALFINGER platforms offer a range of platforms with working heights from 10 to 103 meters for chassis from 3.5 to 60 tonnes. During bauma 2019 PALFINGER presented the latest achievements and innovations and – for the first time in the history of PALFINGER access platforms – a selection of models from the entire global palette.
New models in the Light NX class: P 220 BK and P 280 CK
User-friendliness is the hallmark of the Light NX class which will be represented at bauma 2019 by two new models: the P 220 BK and P 280 CK. These two Light NX class models are designed for use in municipal applications and can be operated by anyone holding a standard driving license. The impressive range of operator assistance systems enables flexible outreach calculation (load moment limiting) and easy stabilizer control at the vehicle base. The control system operated via the familiar Light NX control panel and features such as the memory and home function make using the access platforms very easy. The flat and robust substructure under the workman basket allows the platforms to get as close to obstacles as possible. The P 220 BK and P 280 CK access platforms are ideal for rental as well as for local authorities and tree maintenance.
The P 220 BK reaches a working height of 22 m and an outreach of 17 m and has a basket load up to 300 kg. The workman cage can be rotated 2 x 90 degrees and, thanks to the flat substructure, can get extremely close to obstacles. The P 220 BK can be mounted on a two-axle chassis with a permissible total weight of 3.5 t through to a two-axle chassis with 7.5 t.
The P 280 CK is designed for vehicles weighing 7.5 t or more. It reaches a working height of 28 m and has a robust aluminum workman basket with a 300 kg basket load and integrated anti-squeeze protection in the knee rail. The large loading area with a high payload reserve, e.g. for loading tools, and the hydraulic basket rotation device with automatic centering ensure convenient operation. Compact vertical stabilizers allow operating in confined spaces with a maximum outreach of 18.8 m. Additionally, its low construction height of 3.30 m makes the P 280 CK ideal for operations in inner-city areas.
